Paperback — $30.00 · Action Crime Thriller (Detective Arbee) · Published February 5, 2025
Mad Bomber Max is an action thriller in the Detective Arbee series. New York City reels from another explosion, and the infamous Mad Bomber Max — a mastermind Arbee has captured before — threatens far worse, including a looming nuclear disaster on the East Coast. Arbee must unravel clues scattered across the city and deactivate the hidden devices before time runs out.
Explosive in every sense, the novel pairs high-stakes procedural tension with the psychological duel between hunter and quarry. Burgos keeps the clock audible on every page, while Arbee’s history with Max turns the case into something intimate and dangerous. This is New York crime fiction at full voltage — precise, propulsive, and impossible to put down.
